These stones are special stones which increase the level of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. These stones can also be purchased by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item upgrading, then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will become after being upgraded. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.
After choosing the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

This process can continue until the item reaches its highest level.

Pressing the yellow arrow once the player has enough materials will begin the upgrade process.

Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but they are not because they boost stats. They are more valuable to players when they achieve a perfect roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display a pop-up window that shows the required requirements. These include the item type (either weapon or armor), the tier of that item as well as the Upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will add an item in your inventory after you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show you how close you are towards finishing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrades upgrader (moparwiki.Win) NPC.
