World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item upgrader kit increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.

Components

upgrade item components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be inserted. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure what will be improved following a reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the endgame you'll find that the best way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade item system for items lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrades a piece of equipment it will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is highly important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item upgrader Kit will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
