The cushioned leg rest extends down to the footrest made of plastic to provide additional comfort. The Alterrain Pro is sleeker and more modern than other models from the brand. It also feels more finished. The tubing for the frame is made of aluminum, which is rigid and has minimal flex left-to-right. The stitching around the basket, handlebars, and canopy are neat and tidy, with no knotted-up fasteners.
BOB Sport Utility
The stroller is available in either a single or duallie version for parents who are committed to their outdoor adventures. The front wheel is fixed, which provides stability for jogging as well as aids to navigate difficult terrain. The adjustable suspension is state-of-the-art technology and can take on any bumps. It has a handlebar that can be adjusted to fit parents of different heights, as well as an enormous storage basket to store everything you need to keep.
BOB Sport Utility scored 6 out of 10, which is behind only the BOB Ironman which is our top-rated model. The suspension and large wheels make it easier to run with and its air-filled tires and suspension system are better able to absorb the shock of rough surfaces more effectively than the tires on other joggers (including our other BOB strollers including the Revolution Flex and the Thule Urban Glide 2 which both scored 9).
The Sport Utility is very good in maneuverability, but it is not as easy to turn like some of the other models in this review. It is required to tip the handlebar to turn. This works well on flat surfaces, but it can be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces such as cafes and grocery stores.
The BOB Sport Utility has the same safety features that are found in other joggers. It comes with a 5-point harness, a hand brake and a foot brake. The BOB Sport Utility can accommodate the majority of infant car seat adapters, which are sold separately. We found the brakes to be quick and easy to use, however we were not thrilled that you have to use a lever near the front seat to lock the front wheel which can be uncomfortable when walking or running.

However the Expedition does not score well in several areas when compared with our top-scoring alternatives. It doesn't come with suspension that can help to absorb the impact of bumps and uneven ground, which could be uncomfortable for children who are just starting out. The metal wheels aren't as durable as strollers with a bigger tire diameter, which means it's not a great option for frequent rough surfaces.
Additionally, the Expedition's canopy is quite small, which means it's not as a great way to cover or protection from the sun. Despite these flaws however, the Baby Trend Expedition is an ideal choice for parents on a tight budget seeking an all-terrain stroller. Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4
UK brand Out 'n' About has won legions of fans for its range of jogging buggies and this model is their top running buggy. It's light and easy to steer, but it comes with big, robust 16-inch wheels that tackle even the most difficult terrain. It has a fixed front wheel so it's easy to lock straight for running, however you can also use a lever on the handlebar to release the lever and let the wheel rotate for casual strolling or hill climbing.
The suspension is great especially on bridleways that are bumpy and rocky. The brake on the handlebar was not as responsive as we would have liked and the Nipper Sport V4 cannot be used with a car seat or a baby carrier (although it is compatible with an infant insert) and can only be used for occasional overnight sleep.
It's pretty easy to build - we were able to do it in less than 10 minutes and found the directions easy to follow. You do have to fit the seat liner and hood yourself however, we found it was not difficult. It only requires a bit of patience as you feed the harness straps into the slots in the padded seat liner. The seat's back has a medium-sized pouch however it's not large enough to hold a change bag.
The Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4 can be used from the moment of birth, but it is recommended to wait until your child is six months old before utilizing it for running. The harness is not tight enough to allow a newborn to be held comfortably, so you'll require a separate carrycot.
