9 Things Your Parents Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade it can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a set amount.
Item Level
When an item gets upgraded, its stats improve in value. This is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader you choose and the kind of upgrade you decide to perform. This is due to the number of perks that have to be modified to upgrade an item.
It can also be used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is limited to the lower levels). Players can view their average item level in their character sheet.
Utilizing the level of an item will allow players to compare the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a sign of the item's damage and quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done using the item level.
On PC, you can check the level of the item upgrader kit by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. It can also be located by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are various theories on how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula which calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and that gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item. This could result in a calculated item's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzards actual item level.
This isn't the only thing that affects the level of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may alter its stats. For instance it can increase the item's haste, or crit rating. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have higher ilvl.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big component of what makes or breaks an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in different ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the Best item upgrade." The base stats of a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat modification which are then increased by the player's skill.
The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats on the item. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded once and items with rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times at higher costs.
Another method to alter the stats on an item is to use affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to provide items with extra damage or other special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs), or to distinguish them by putting a name on them.
Currently, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.
Players can upgrade an item by a specific stat, or reroll attaches. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, however all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it is a unique item or a God roll from a boss of a raid.
This is another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. Like the base equipment, it will have to be done per item and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the strength of those properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player a chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in the early game as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize higher weapon scaling and defenses over damage gains.
Luck can also increase the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances that increase with each new level of Best item upgrader. These can also be enhanced by using anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned by using the Luck property, which has the default value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck, or to increase the luck of an item, up to 140.
Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon, can also be equipped to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by 5%. These items are available in the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Item upgrades are a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chance of success of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item if it does not work.
When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to the extent to which the success rates can be improved and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an item can be affected by the Luck of that item. Each item has an initial success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by an additional five percent.
The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This can obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item upgrader, daojianchina.com, CORE client config.
