But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly and I expected more.

This fridge is a good choice, despite the small blip. It features a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French-door refrigerators. It also holds a lot of frozen food items compared to other models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment offers 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about the same as a French door fridge that costs this much. It also has a decent-sized icemaker in the left door, but it's not the biggest I've seen.

You can alter the shelves in both compartments to create a an individual storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is an appealing accent. The drawers include temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also comes with many options for customization. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when your fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill, an option found in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to select the amount of cups they wish to disperse. The fridge displays a countdown timer to show you how much water is left however it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This fridge was rated the top in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a tiny fraction - this is crucial to avoid freezer burn. The fridge section of the refrigerator also performed well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour and remained at the temperature throughout our tests.

Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary french door fridge with ice and water-door design with gallon-sized door bins at each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer to store food items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the great aspects of this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, making it easy to transfer ice into the fridge to use as required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers that can help you better organize the placement of items. It also comes with a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items and an additional ice storage bin.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you control the temperature of your fridge and lighting via your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your fridge and manage it, especially when you're away from home.

Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than some of the others we test. This is likely due to its greater capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a hard time closing them without slamming. It would have been much better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those who want to combine the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with more efficient design. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door fridge without water dispenser door refrigerator is a great choice when you're looking for a French door fridge that won't break the budget. It's a basic refrigerator that might not be as attractive as some of its competitors however it has enough features to make it a suitable choice. Its most significant feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another great feature. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise measurements of your fridge's internal temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of grey-bodied stainless steel which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does an excellent job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing, even compared to shiny stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
