It also plays a significant role in the administration and management of asbestos dockets as well in negotiations with plaintiffs' lawyers and in coordinating discovery for its client.

Catherine has represented a variety of manufacturers as the lead counsel in asbestos and product liability personal injury lawsuits, and in consolidated cases that involve multiple plaintiffs. She has a wealth of experience arguing asbestos-related cases in the federal and state courts and before a variety of supreme and appellate courts.

While at Brobeck, Vogel worked on asbestos cases, including those of respondents in the Asbestos Claims Facility in Northern California. The case files contained SEAR forms (Short Evaluative reports that are encapsulated), which contained confidential information about plaintiffs. The files contained medical reports, work histories, and the list of asbestos-related products that plaintiffs worked with or near. Vogel was required to have access to these files, and she could also review the SEAR forms of any case at her current employer.

The Bowles Rice Asbestos Team, in addition to its vast experience in trial and appellate work, is widely acclaimed for its ability to successfully negotiate settlements for clients.
